Completely watertight seal, yet lightweight, making it ideal for new construction and retrofit installations without adding too much weight to the roof deck. TPO can handle the desert sun, sand, arctic freezes and torrential downpours because it is ultra flexible. It has the ability to expand and contract without tearing or cracking with the strongest warranty in the industry. Stands up to rooftop traffic, tools and equipment. Mule-Hide also has some great walkpad accessories that we can install to reduce chance of damage from vendors walking on your roof (HVAC, Plumbing, etc.).

Energy Efficient

Make sure you wear your sunglasses when standing on a TPO roof. TPO has a brilliant white surface that has been shown to reflect up to 78% of heat from the sun to reduce the cost of cooling and air conditioning your commercial building. The top tier reflectivity of the TPO also reduces the heat build-up under the roofing membrane.

Resistance

We challenge anyone to try and tear Mule-Hide TPO. It is virtually indestructible to abrasion, impacts, or tearing. There is more product on top of the scrim where it matters, Mule-Hide offers the thickest top ply in the industry. If somehow you are able to damage this innovative system, the TPO membrane remains repairable year after year, allowing for ease of future cutouts, alterations and tie-ins. TPO is very easy to clean due to its hydrophobic nature, this system will remain looking like new for many years. TPO provides the highest resistance to fire, UV, airborne bacteria, and industrial pollutants such as air-conditioning coolants than any other commercial roofing application for flat roofs. SPC is a green company so the fact that Mule-Hide’s TPO contains no chlorine to reduce toxins in our environment is an extra benefit.

Down the line, if you ever experience a storm event causing penetrations in your TPO roof or have an AC technician drop his hammer and nails and mess up your beautiful roof, it can be easily repaired. TPO utilizes a heat welding method for bonding the seams. This means that if there is a small hole, scrape, or penetration through the TPO membrane, we heat weld a patch directly over the affected area. The big difference with this method of heat weld bonding versus traditional tar-based systems is that over time, exposure to the sun’s heat will cause your TPO roof seams to get stronger!
